Supporting Inhaler on their UK tour, britpop punk fivesome FEET appeared at Riverside last week. The original sound the coventry bunch have created fit right in with the venue; they seemed to have something for every taste, from indie to alternative punk. Bombarding the crowd with an eclectic range of songs from their recent album ‘What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham’, they certainly stole the limelight.
Music aside, the atmosphere, aesthetic and showmanship of the band were enough to put a smile on the grungiest face. Bucket hats, imitation revs and jumping jacks galore.
Frontman and lead vocalist George Haverson kicked off the show with a tambourine in hand, perfectly timing vocals with riffs and a light show that should come with an epilepsy warning.
The room was still heavily crowded, despite only being support. The squealing electric riffs in ‘English Weather’ and the heavy beats of ‘Petty Thieving” were received with stark enthusiasm. FEET took the opportunity to gain new fans and momentum, making a heavy impact all round.
